GENERAL FEATURES OF ORISSA
Orissa state is situated in the north eastern part of India surrounded by West Bengal, Chatthisgarh, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh & Madhya Pradesh. This state covered with hilly areas, low lying areas and thick forest areas. Per capita income of individual is very low. Many districts are covered with illiterate tribal population and backward classes. They are mostly dependant upon the income earned through cultivation and agriculture. Missionary work started many years ago and some have accepted the Christian faith. Ever since the missionary work started in Orissa and as a result of the tireless work and some have sacrificed their life for the cause of Christian faith. Many times communal violence have taken place in Orissa to Christianity during this tribulation. Even then God is doing miracles there and many are turning to Christianity in the middle of this tribulation.
CHURCH MINISTRY OF INPC AT ORISSA
Presently there are 54 churches at Orissa under INPC. The churches are mostly located in remote and hilly areas of which 15 were demolished / destroyed in the recent years. There were 20 constructed church halls, out of communal violence by anti-social elements. Presently they are worshiping in muddy houses, and temporary sheds. These churches are functioning under the leadership of Pr. Ranjan Nayak who is the State Overseer for Orissa with its HQ at Bhubaneswar.
Pr. Ranjan Nayak is functioning as per the direction of the President, INPC (Trust) at Kottarakara, Kerala.
Monthly meeting of Pastors:
Every month, meeting for pastors is being conducted in which reports of the work is analyzed. Since the pastors are attending the meeting from far off places TA/DA @Rs 300/- is required per head.
For office maintenance and tent for the office works out to Rs. 3,000/- per month. Presently 32 pastors including the Overseer are being financially supported for which Rs. 1 lakh is required every month.
Monthly financial support to the pastors is being sent from INPC (Trust) HO at Kottarakara
CHILDREN’S ORPHANAGE
At present a children’s orphanage is functioning under INPC at Orissa with 22 inmates in a rented building. Requirement of finance for running of Orphanage is given below:
Food exp. per day per child: Rs. 30
Food exp. for 22 children for per day: Rs. 660
Food exp. for 22 children per month: Rs. 19,800
Food exp. for 22 children per year: Rs. 2,37,600
Clothing Uniform & ordinary dress per Year: Rs. 50 x 22 = 11,000
Schooling Tuition fee, Admission fee, Text books & Note books : Rs. 400 x 22 = Rs. 8,800
Total expense for one year: Rs. 237,600 + Rs. 11,000+ Rs. 8,800 = Rs. 257,400.00
Construction of building with all amenities estimated to Rs. 7-8 lakhs.
One-time expense for furniture works out to Rs. 22,000.
PRAYER TOWER
Presently a prayer tower is functioning with 6 members in a rented building. An amount of Rs. 2,000/- is being spent for this prayer tower every month. Furnishing and phone is required urgently.
EXPANSION OF THE MINISTRY IN ORISSA
It is proposed to extended its ministry and planning to have 100 churches at Orissa. An additional expenditure of Rs. 2 Lakhs is expected by way of support.
New work is proposed to be started in the neighbouring states of Bihar and Andhra Pradesh.
BUILDING PROJECTS FOR ORISSA CHURCHES
The ministry in Orissa is growing day by day under the leadership of Pr. Ranjan Nayak. For the development of Orissa Church ministry they proposed following projects.
1. BUILDING PROJECTS
In about 20 places, a church hall is needed. Concrete building for worship for church hall for 1,000 sq. ft.@ Rs. 1,000 Rs. 1,00,000/-
Sheds with tin sheets for roof estimated at Rs. 1.5 lakh per shed.
2. SUPPLY OF BICYCLE TO PASTORS
10 Pastors have been provided with bicycle. It is proposed to supply bicycle for another 43 pastors for which an estimate is calculated at Rs. 29,000/- @per bicycle.
3, CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDING FOR PRAYER TOWER.
It is proposed to construct building for prayer tower. Cost particulars are given below:
Temporary shed with tin sheet rooftop Rs.1,25,000/- Concrete building 700 sq. ft @ Rs. 1,000 – 1,000 x 700= Rs. 7,00,000/-
4. OLD AGE HOME
it is proposed to construct an old age home with 15 members initially, at the available plot of INPC (Trust) at Orissa (2 acre of land donated by a believer).
For construction of the building with all amenities for 1000 sq. ft is calculated to Rs. 10 Lakhs i.e., @ Rs. 1,000/- per sq. ft. is calculated at Rs.1,000/-per sq. ft.
If the same is with tin sheet roof top it will come around Rs. 2 lakhs.
Running expense for Old age home is estimated below: Food expenses. per day per Rs. 50
Food exp. for 15 person per day Rs. 750
Food exp. for 15 person per month Rs. 22,500 Food exp. for 15 person per year Rs. 2,70,000 Clothing per Year Rs. 600 x 15= Rs. 9,000
Furnishing One-time Furnishing Rs. 1000 x 15 = Rs. 15,000 Misc exp. Including medical Rs. 24,000/- per month
5. BIBLE COLLEGE
At present, training is being given under Universal Theological Seminary to the pastors at Orissa with a running expense of Rs. 5,000/- per month. It is proposed to start a Bible College at Orissa initially with 10 students for which building project is estimated at 2,00,000/- with all amenities including plot for construction of the building. Food expenses per student Rs. 50

6. ACADEMIC SCHOOL
To impart education to the poor students, it is proposed to start a secular academic school at the INPC owned plot at Orissa initially with 100 students and 5 teachers.
Estimated cost of school building (shed with tin sheets rooftop) Rs. 3.5 lakhs.
Teachers’ salary worked out at Rs. 3,000×5 = 15,000 per month annually Rs. 1,80,000/-
Furnishing Desks & bench Rs. 50,000/- (one-time expense)
Other misc. expenses. Rs. 10,000/- Total 1,90,000/- + furnishing Rs 50, 000/- (one-time expense)
7. EDUCATION HELP FOR SCHOOL GOING CHILDREN
It is proposed to give education help to 200 school going poor and downtrodden students @ Rs. 500/ – before start of academic year.
Total Rs. 1,00,000/- is estimated annually.
8. MUSIC TEAM:
In Orissa a Music team is functioning under INPC. It is proposed to develop the team into national level. Music instruments like Organ, Guitar, Tripple Drum, etc., are required.
Total expense Rs. 3,03,000/- + One-time furnishing Rs. 15,000/- along with sound system. This is estimated approximately per year Rs. 4,00,000/-
